Winners Rail Cargo Rally

Fontys ICT students Quincy, Justin, Timo, Sjoerd, Roel, and Pepijn secured first place at the Rail Cargo RLLY event in Rotterdam.
During the rail days, Rail Cargo Information Netherlands organized the Rail Cargo Rally. Students traveled by train across the country to visit unique locations and complete creative tasks.

Quincy said, “Our strong ICT background gave us a clear advantage, especially when using the app. We were one of the few teams to meet the deadline.” The event provided valuable learning experiences, as they discovered more about the digital possibilities in the railway sector. Sjoerd added, “This event opened our eyes to the immense potential of ICT in the Dutch railway transport system. We’ve also made some great new connections on LinkedIn.”

The prize? Eternal fame, placing a figurine in Mini World and gaining access to areas typically off-limits to the public. Additionally, it was a great opportunity for the students to get to know each other better, as they were only at the end of their second week of studies.
